A bit about me

I want to help women feel strong and have the vitality they deserve to lead a fulfilling and vibrant life.

Passion for health and fitness -

I had always enjoyed an active lifestyle, participating in horse-riding, swimming, cycling and various other activities. I enjoyed nutrition and ate a mostly healthy diet. I was 35 when I had my children and life took on a different pace - busier in many ways but also much less active in others. By the time I was able to get back to exercise in a more structured and regular way I was in my early forties and I felt like I had grown old overnight. My joints ached, I could barely extend my left arm overhead and I felt constantly tired. I kept on attempting various exercise routines and managed to stay motivated enough to usually fit in a few sessions a week. As I hit 45, my sleep became more erratic, anxiety peaked and my periods were all over the place. I felt exhausted, achy, grumpy and certainly not like myself or the parent I wanted to be.

At some point I realised this was peri-menopause and had probably been the cause of my symptoms for the last 5 years. I started researching everything that could possibly help - and although I knew a fair bit about HRT I wasn't ready to give it a go yet... First, I dialled in my nutrition and added a few supplements, got serious about my exercise including much more strength and some mobility work and I also added in some stress management, gradually I started to see some improvements. A couple of years on at 48 I was feeling younger than I had since my 30s, I had cultivated regular habits that supported me.

Now, I wanted to learn how to to help other women that were struggling. I enrolled onto my PT and nutrition courses to start the next chapter of my life.

Over the next few months hot flashes had started to creep in and were waking me again in the night so it was time to start HRT... with them under control I could engage with my studies and live my strongest and fittest year yet.

My course has given me even more passion for fitness and exercise than I imagined and I have loved learning how to individualise plans, how to program, motivate and support to get real results. So as I continue on my journey of education to step up my knowledge and abilities further I am excited to open the doors of "Your Vitality" to work with YOU!
