Kirstenbosch: The Most Beautiful Garden in Africa Reviews
This is the number 1 place in the world where I would love to go. Unfortunately, there is no chance unless I can win the lottery! If you are reading this and are interested in the conservation work carried out at Kirstenbosch or merely interested in South African flora, please try and buy this. The photography is superb and the book is full of interesting information. I shall be looking at this and dreaming in the winter when I can't get outside in my own garden.

This book is very informative and easy to read. It covers numerous topics and it has given me a better understanding of Kirstenbosch gardens.
A fitting tribute to one of the most spectacular gardens in the world.
Of the many gardens all over the world that I have visited, this is the most beautifully located, designed and presented. Absolutely brilliant!
Kirstenbosch, The Most Beautiful Garden in Africa by Brian J. Huntley is the celebration of the 100th anniversary of this exquisite garden, known as one of the most wonderful places to visit in South Africa. The land was the proplerty of Cecil Rhodes who bequeathed his land to the government in the ealy 1900's and massive plantings were continued by devoted garden enthusiasts and experts and the garden officially opened on July 1, 1913, and has been lovingly tended ever since. In 1996 a grant provided the money to bring over 200,000 school children to this wondrous place in the time since then. In this beautiful book Huntley, a world renowned Conservationist, tells the history of the gardens and how they contribute to education, beautifucation, conservation, and joy of living for all who visit it. The full color photos on nearly every page are beautiful and will give you a generous visit to this famous garden, even if you live on the other side of the world! It did that for me!
